- Take the tram #28: You can catch the tram all over the city, but the best place to catch it is right before it crosses Rua Augusta. Take it up the hill to the church and get off right in time for sunset.
- Visit Sintra: Take the train from the main train station and once there catch the public bus 434 that stops in the front of the station to the right. You can buy a 5€ hop on hop off ticket to take you to all the main monuments. The Palace of Pena cannot be missed!
- Eat the original Pasteles de Belem in Belem: Take tram 15 to Belem where you will find the famous bakery with a line out the door of people waiting to buy thier «natas.» The trick is to go all the way to the back of the bakery and sit down. There you will be attended to quickly, can order a coffee with your pastries and buy boxes to go!
