Situated on the Gulf of Riga, Positivius has a whimsical feel and an impressive line up: this year Elbow, Kraftwerk and Anna Calvi are some of the names on the list. Away from the main three stages there is a local arts and crafts market, a cinema tent, circus perfomances, modern dance, theatre and art. It’s not the slickest festival out there but that’s actually something of a bonus as the idyllic setting would be a little at odds with anything sharper.

Paco de Lucía, born Francisco Sánchez Gómez (21 December 1947 – 26 February 2014) was a Spanish flamenco guitarist, composer and producer. A leading proponent of the New Falmenco style, he was one of the first flamenco guitarists who has also successfully crossed over into other genres of music such as classical and jazz.

The new ivory rules ban the commercial import of African elephant ivory.
New restrictions on the ivory trade designed to create «a near complete ban» on the commercial sale of African elephant ivory in the U.S. were announced Tuesday by the Obama Administration.
